As I sit here inspired by fellow CURE Associate Designer blog post about her Rustic Glam Harvest action in her own space, a cup a joe and a recent holiday haul, I felt compelled to “Fall into Fabulous” myself, so I created a tablescape using some old favorites and new finds to heighten the glam in our dining room for the holidays! Now, nothing is complete without stunning flatware and a few long stemmed wine glasses, but Ill keep those tucked away until our guests arrive. For now, I just wanted to showcase our color palette and a few well placed metallic’s and flames. What do you have going on for the holidays?
I started with a bare espresso table, I like to keep it simple and chic day to day. A simple clean white large platter finds its home in the center of our table and two wood and glass candlesticks flank the host and hostess seating arrangement.

With the addition of some candlesticks, luminaries and birch logs, I am building the foundation, throw in some metallic gold chargers (each year, I seem to flip flop between silver and gold, I feel a gold rush comin’ on for 2013) And clean white plates, gives the perfect clean backdrop to the holiday décor. Now to find the perfect fresh florals to accompany our chic dining atmosphere, so I will be on the look out for some bright fuchsia flowers and sunflowers to add along the way…

Don’t forget to address the sideboard, in this case, a well placed stack of mod black and white plates , birch logs and mini pumpkins set the tone for the rest of the dining room.

My husband and I love to travel, our country of choice is the beaches, particularly speaking Playa del Carmen MX. It is becoming our home away from home. On our last venture, we gathered a ton, and I mean a ton…just ask the airlines…of pure white sand stones and had to bring them home. They reside in our metal and glass oversized tumblers. I just couldn’t part with them, even for the holidays, I love the pure white color and added texture. So I just layered slabs of birch right on top of them.
