I was completely honored to be asked to design, plan and execute the perfect wedding day for a couple that is so special to one of my friends and business partner. CURE Senior Designer Cori Dyer’s middle son was getting married and I was tasked with creating a stunning and memorable event.
A year in the making, taking every detail to the max that add layers and layers of personal touches. Please enjoy this gorgeous gallery of the stunning photos taken by friend and colleague, Clary Pfeiffer of Clary Pfeiffer Photography
The Venue:
St Albans Old Barn Inn [formerly known as Gardens at Malmaison] beautifully situation in the back hills of St Albans, fall colors and gardens surrounded guests during cocktail hour in the courtyard. Acoustic Guitarist, signature cocktails and passed and plated Hor D’eourves were the prelude to the most stunning evening to come.
Guests were welcomed into the outdoor pavilion for the remaining of the evening, stone fireplace, lanterns, up-lighting, draped cafe lighting above, rustic chandeliers, fountains at the end of the end of the space draw you in…
The Decor:
The decor , obviously my favorite part…I wanted to create and add elements no one has ever seen before, and some no one expected. Beginning with the most labor intensive head table decorations and floral element, a 25 foot long fresh floral garland that ran the length of the entire table and puddled onto the floor on both sides. Everyone that walked by had to touch it, yes, everyone its real, hand made by yours truly. Modern high back upholstered host and hostess chairs that housed hand painted custom pillows in the wedding color palette by friend and former CURE Associate Designer, Julie, from Julie Kay Design Studios
A mixture of centerpieces, gold candelabras and fresh flowers set in a gold and milk glass vase with votive candles and a tiny birch wood stump holding the custom menu and engagement photo of this gorgeous couple.
A rustic ladder houses the seating arrangements, hanging by a simple ribbon and hand made wood, laser cut and painted gold table numbers in beautiful text housed in tiny mirrored boxes with a succulent to top it off.
Rustic wine barrels and a collection of unique tubs and crates filled with babys breath to create special little areas within in the event
The Menu, hand written on an old window pane, set on an easel in the garden, surrounded by a bay leaf and rosemary garland and a mixture of lanterns featuring Smore’s by the outdoor fire and Wood Fired Pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven.
Sparkler Send Off:
No event is a success without a grand finale, a sparkler send off from 200 of your closest friends and family to close the most stunning event. Here are some photos we snapped at the event! Enjoy!
It was quite the Party!! Guests never left the dance floor and raved about the entire event from start to finish. It was a pleasure to plan, the couple were dream clients, thank you! And thank you to all of those who helped bring this magical moment to life.
