Sophisticated Renovation // A Home Reinvented

Picture it…a gorgeous Brentwood home, traditional in style and character.  A small kitchen in the front of the home, closed off and not conducive to entertaining or having a family.  Now, imagine what this home could be with a vision…and the right designer and Design/Build team.    Light, bright, open sophisticated and classic.  This sweet family enlisted the help of Jim Bulejski Architects and CURE Senior Designer, Cori Dyer.

Being the second home we have designed for this family, the challenge was creating spaces that were functional for this active family! With the help of Jim Bulejski Architects, we completely gutted/renovated the first floor. Adding onto the original back of the house creating the new kitchen space any chef would want to create in. Renovated the original/existing “kitchen” to be an eat-in and side extension to the kitchen and coffee bar area.
We added a working laundry room for the kids to dump backpacks and sports gear and a refuge for her 5 dogs, a fresh den/seating area for the mom and dad, and last but not least, updated the old Living Room to create a cozy space for the kids and adults to retreat to! Using cool grays, navy, white and gold accents, these spaces are as gorgeous as they are comfortable.

Pro Tip: It’s OK to mix your metals!! Long gone are the days of matching gold with gold and silver with silver. We can spot a well styled “designer” space from a mile away….why?… because they aren’t afraid to mix their metals. A little added warmth with a brushed Gold pendant to a cool hues space is just what makes it unique. Cultivated, not “decorated”

Cori Dyer
After graduating from the University of Missouri, K.C., I spent my days raising our three boys. However, my interest in fashion and interior design kept me reading and taking classes in the design field. After working in a high-end retail fashion store in St. Louis, I realized that putting together assorted fabrics, textures and styles was a passion. After decorating my own home, and those of family, friends, neighbors and co-workers, I realized that my passion and "eye" for fashion work equally well in interior design. I have built some of my strongest relationships through the opportunity of creating spaces for my clients over the years. I will learn your lifestyle and taste, and working with you, I will create a design that exceeds your expectations.
