Even little ones deserves Simply. Good. Design…

Most designers I know love to design client’s nurseries. It’s usually an exciting time in a family’s life and the chance to create a more whimsical and playful space than normal is always fun! I for one am not your typical designer (surprise surprise) and actually prefer to design mature, ageless spaces over a “cutsey” or (ugh) “theme” room.

So, when I saw the INCREDIBLE nursery designed by Bijou and Boheme’s Christine Dovey, it spoke to me. Not in a “I wanna have a baby and design a nursery for it” kind of way; but in a “I’m obsessed with this space and would sleep in a crib just to have it.” kind of a way.

I DIE for modern lighting in a traditional space. Christine created perfection by installing moldings, an ornate ceiling medallion, and a long-time-favorite Hick’s pendant. The true star of the room (aside from sweet, baby Jasper) is the pair of Serge Mouille inspired sconces installed over the too-die-for daybed.

Gimme, gimme!
