*SOME ADVICE FROM ONE FRIEND TO ANOTHER<\/em><\/p>\n It\u2019s officially Spring in St. Louis! And by \u201cSpring\u201d I mean constantly fluctuating temperatures\u00a0where we might possibly get a solid 6-day span of what other cities would consider \u201cnice\u00a0weather.\u201d So what am I doing while staying inside?! PURGING. Yes that\u2019s right, it\u2019s time to\u00a0clear out some of these rather large furniture items and smaller what-nots collecting in my\u00a0basement, to make room for our upcoming remodel! (Exciting!! Blog info and pics on this also\u00a0to be posted, stay tuned!)<\/p>\n One thing I\u2019ve noticed as I\u2019m preparing my items to be posted via online re-sale sites \u2013 DOES\u00a0ANYONE KNOW HOW TO SELL [AND MAKE MONEY] FOR THEIR USED STUFF?! Seems\u00a0to be a resounding \u201cNO\u201d, so I\u2019d like to dedicate this post to helping others:\u00a0“How to sell your junk and actually make some money”.\u00a0Now, don\u2019t get me wrong, I\u2019m no expert or professional, nor is\u00a0my income dependent on buying and selling online. I\u2019m just a designer with a furniture\u00a0<\/span>background well versed in selling, so let me impart some wisdom:<\/span><\/p>\n Include Photos.<\/strong><\/p>\n The items you\u2019re selling are most likely used. People aren’t going to just \u201ctake your word for\u00a0it\u201d unless they see for themselves that they\u2019re not getting hosed in the deal. It\u2019s a simple\u00a0and necessary thing to do, especially since most resale sites allow the shopper to filter out\u00a0any post which doesn’t include photos (meaning, your post doesn’t even populate in their\u00a0results).<\/p>\n Post the RIGHT photos.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\t\t
