Hello World! \u00a0I am Melanie Christoff! \u00a0Newest member of the Cure Design Group-Design Team. \u00a0I have joined their team as an Associate Designer and I wanted to reach out and introduce myself!<\/p>\n
Blogging for the first time isn’t easy. If you can imagine the blank writing platform staring back<\/p>\n
at you, the curser just flashing, and flashing, and flashing at you like some taunting little imp<\/p>\n
dancing around, mocking your nervousness ultimately forcing you to give in and slam the lid of<\/p>\n
your laptop closed \u2026 well, that same situation has played out for the last three months. UNTIL<\/p>\n
NOW. I will NOT close my laptop! Here I am world, I\u2019m opening my book to you! [I\u2019m so scared]\n
I know blogging isn\u2019t a difficult thing. It\u2019s simply interpreting your thoughts into words. Simple<\/p>\n
right? Until you realize the entire world of innerwebs can read your thoughts. [Yikes!] On the<\/p>\n
other hand, I also know I have absolutely nothing to fear working with such a strong, supportive<\/p>\n
group of like-minded designers like me. Truthfully, at times we may be too like-minded and it<\/p>\n
gets us into trouble. Have you ever seen sisters pack together at a holiday event laughing with<\/p>\n
and AT each other? Yup. I\u2019ve worked with two of these ladies before in a previous life (and by<\/p>\n
\u2018life\u2019 I mean \u2018job,\u2019 because isn\u2019t that what a job is?) We\u2018d talk about the projects we\u2019re working<\/p>\n
on, help each other with color selections or layouts when the other has hit a wall, we\u2019d lean on<\/p>\n
each other when the \u201cperfect design\u201d wasn\u2019t purchased, but most importantly we had fun. I<\/p>\n
know, I\u2019m reminambling. (See what I did there? reminiscing + rambling?) So where am I going<\/p>\n
with all this? I\u2019ll tell you…….<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been in corporate-America for the last 7 years, sitting idle behind a<\/p>\n
desk playing puppet to the man with his feet up raking in the big bucks all the while I\u2019m stuck<\/p>\n
there for 50+ hours week by week slaving away to meet the always-too-soon deadlines set by<\/p>\n
said man. Granted I was still designing; but it was for a national retail store, so picture<\/p>\n
\u201cdesigning\u201d an Ice Cream truck\u2026 one thousand times over. It was a factory. Well, that wasn\u2019t<\/p>\n
really allowing me to flex my creative muscles and I\u2019m SO STINKIN\u2019 EXCITED TO BE BACK!<\/p>\n
You. Have. No. idea.<\/p>\n
So what will I blog about? Over time I want to keep you up to speed on the projects I\u2019m working<\/p>\n
through \u2013 notice I didn\u2019t say \u2018I\u2019ve done,\u2019 because half the fun is to see how these things get<\/p>\n
started. What seems to be happening out there in our market in relation to finishes,<\/p>\n
construction, layouts, and such. I\u2019d love to share with you some hot items & must haves for the<\/p>\n
holidays and seasons. So stick with me world, but watch out! I\u2019m back and I\u2019m blogging!<\/p>\n
