Designing events is one of my favorite things about what we do. And who doesn’t love a wedding? The decor of the ceremony and celebration space adds to the energy and atmosphere and sets the stage for the whole event, and you only get one shot, so you’d better make it good! I have had the pleasure of helping my sister these past few months in designing the concept, color palette and styling her big day!

We began pinning and conceptualizing, she knew one thing. she wanted it casual and chic and mason jars, who doesn’t love a turquoise mason jar?!

Hundreds of flowers and preserved cotton branches, wheat and berries were on order and we were ready to make some magic!

Ceremony and Celebration were both located in the quaint town of Hermann, a darling little place that holds a special place in many hearts, a glimmer of a small town with charm and great restaurants and shopping. They chose Hermann Hill Weddings as the venue for their special day. http://www.hermannmoweddings.com/index.htm A unique brunch celebration followed the early afternoon ceremony and champagne toast.

Ceremony Space was a simple chapel on the hill overlooking the Missouri River. With great architectural detail in the millwork and large windows that let in natural light with the landscape of the outdoors as its backdrop and beautiful stained glass windows. I added lanterns and candles that were mirrored on both sides of the aisles, allowing the alternating teardrop vases filled with fresh flowers to add color and softness to the space.

Large white Rose balls flanked both sides of the “stage” and they had great large silver candelabras that lend to setting the scene.

Celebration space was a real stunner! With windows surrounding the guest tables, we added burlap chair bows tied with a simple rhinestone broach. Clean white linens were the perfect backdrop to the Centerpieces, a simple birch slab that housed a stack of color blocked books tied with hemp twine and a turquoise mason jar with fresh flowers, preserved cotton branches and wheat to add a rustic but chic touch. My favorite detail, adding loose photos from their engagement photo session just underneath the twine wrapped books.

The cake, made by my mother and grandmother of Wedding Cakes Unlimited http://wedcakesunlimited.wix.com/cakes It was the perfect translation of everything you want in a cake, unique design, a little bling, icing details, a feather boa, and fresh florals to top it off. And DELICIOUS as always! Sitting atop a simple burlap tablecloth.

Gift table and Stone Ceremony were identified by simple chalkboards, with a birdcage that housed the couples cards. Simply styled with vintage mercury vases filled with candles and flowers and a burlap runner and birch slaps to create some height and dimension

The BIG DAY, I adore this couple, not only because she is my one and only sister, gorgeous isnt she? Because they are a darling couple, and my niece Belle are sweet compassionate people that are ready to build their lives together and I am so happy they let me contribute to their special day.
