When approached by an established St Louis Casino with a challenge of taking an old restaurant space within Hollywood Casino-St Louis, we were acutely aware that we had one shot-one impression and we had to get it right.  Upon entering the space, then commonly used for private events in the between stages of being a profitable restaurant space within the Casino, we instantly had a vision.

The before photos will show what an empty shell and blank slate it was, the only significant pieces to remain were the beautiful casing on the ceiling and the polished concrete floors.  We had visions of these elements playing a key role in the new space.  Think tuxedo meets barn.  We wanted a combination of sleek and swanky vibe for a beer house.

Here is our plan…ROCK IT OUT of course, that’s the plan, the whole plan!

Change the color palette, introduce some color, add a game area with chalkboard walls.  Add a stone surround to the existing brick columns and take the gorgeous coffer ceiling down the opposite column wall to create continuity.  Add exceptional lighting, create a seamless door frames with stainless steel surrounds. Incorporate new furniture and layout, faux finish the brewing process in a large graphic on the long open wall and faux paint beer logos and restaurant logo inside the restaurant area to reinforce the brand. The kicker….open up the front of the space with two over sized black garage doors!  Opening from floor to ceiling, from the entrance of the bar area through the restaurant.  Amazing!

Cure Design Group-99 Hops House Design Presentation

As an integral part of the transformation, we were invited by the staff of Hollywood Casino and 99 Hops House to attend their Grand Opening event, such a fun party!  Here are some highlight shots from the event

Are you ready for these AFTER photos?  You might want to sit down…We are so proud of the transformation of the space, the staff love it, the patrons love it, a job well done if I do say so myself.  Next time you find yourself in Creve Coeur, stop in and have a drink and try the fare, spectacular!  And hopefully you find the design and atmosphere equally satisfying!

Just look at the comparison-Before and Afters!
